The album contained two successful singles: "Knock on Wood" (#1 in the US in the pop genre, #6 in the US in the RB genre, #5 in the US in the club music genre, #6 in the UK, #13 in Germany) and "Light My Fire / 137 Disco Heaven" (#69 in the US in the pop genre, #36 in the US in the RB genre, #5 in the UK, #26 in Germany). In 1985, a double single with remixed versions of "Knock on Wood" and "Light My Fire" reached number 7 in the UK charts, followed by the re-release of "You Really Touched My Heart" (number 89 in the UK). ...more

ABBA-WATERLOO-1974-SECOND PRESS 1976 SWEDEN-POLAR--POLS252. A rare Swedish second press of the iconic album, after which ABBA became famous all over the world. Waterloo is the second studio album by Swedish pop band ABBA, the first to be released internationally. It was originally released on March 4, 1974 in Sweden on the Polar Music label. The album's title track won ABBA the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 and became a worldwide hit, launching the band's career. "Waterloo" won the Swedish qualifying round, and the band represented Sweden in Brighton at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974. ABBA won the competition, and "Waterloo" became a hit not only in Europe, but also around the world (for example, taking 6th place in the USA). The album has already been released in Sweden and topped the Swedish charts for 12 weeks, becoming one of the best-selling Swedish albums at that time. BEATLES-ABBEY ROAD-1969-THE FIRST PRESS (NOT MISS A LINE)  UK-APPLE- PCS7089 Matrix A2/B1.  A very rare British original of the cult album. Abbey Road is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band The Beatles. Work on Abbey Road took place from February to August 1969 and became the last joint project of all four members of the ensemble (the last numbered album of the group Let It Be, released in 1970, was mostly recorded in January 1969). The record was produced by George Martin, who had worked with the band since 1962. Abbey Road sales totaled four million copies in the first two months. In the UK, the album debuted at the top of the national chart, where it remained for 11 weeks, after which it was supplanted by The Rolling Stones' Let It Bleed for one week. Then he returned to the 1st place again (in the Christmas week) and stayed there for another six weeks (17 weeks in total), until he was displaced by the second Led Zeppelin record - Led Zeppelin II. Abbey Road spent a total of 81 weeks on the UK Albums chart. There was a similar situation abroad. A rare original of the iconic jazzman. Solo is a solo album by Brazilian composer, guitarist and pianist Egberto Gismonti, recorded in November 1978 and released on ECM in January of the following year. In the AllMusic review, Stephen Cook gave the album 4 stars, noting that "here Gismonti is in perfect order, he takes off without any companions, offering listeners a provocative and often meditative solo program." ...more
