A very rare British original of the second version of the iconic A-2/B-2 matrix album Led Zeppelin II is the second studio album by the British rock band Led Zeppelin, released on October 22, 1969 on Atlantic Records. The album was recorded in several studios located in the UK and North America from January to August 1969. The album was produced by Jimmy Page, who had already directed in this role on the band's debut CD. The musicians collaborated with sound engineer Eddie Kramer, who made a great contribution to the unique sound of the longplay. Led Zeppelin II demonstrates the evolution of the band's musical style — the guitar sound based on riffs takes center stage. Many critics consider this album to be the most "heavy" in Led Zeppelin's discography. Led Zeppelin II had good sales and became the band's first album to reach the top of the UK and US charts. In 1970, the album's art director, David Juniper, was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Album Design category. By November 15, 1999, the album had sold over 12 million copies. A mega rare original of a cult album .The Captain and the Kid is the twenty—eighth studio album by English musician Elton John, released in 2006. This is his second autobiographical album with songwriter Bernie Taupin, continuing the theme of Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy (1975). The Captain and the Kid tells about the events in their lives over the past three decades. The Captain and the Kid reached number 6 on the UK Albums Chart, which was a significant improvement over John's previous album Peachtree Road in 2004, which reached number 21. Captain reached number 18 on the US Billboard 200, but quickly dropped off the charts. At concerts in early 2007, John made it clear that he was unhappy with the promotion of the album by Interscope Records, and threatened to terminate the contract with the label. JAN GARBAREK GROUP-IT'S OK TO LISTEN TO THE GRAY VOICE -1985-FIRST PRESS GERMANY- ECM-ECM1294. A rare original of the iconic jazzman. An album by Jan Garbarek's band, recorded in December 1984 and released on ECM in September of the following year. The quartet consists of David Thorne, Eberhard Weber and Michael Di Pasqua. AllMusic gave the album four stars, and critic Mark W. B. Allender wrote: Here Garbarek approaches the extremes of his style, performing with his band again. All the compositions on this album are named after quotes from Thomas Transtroemer's poems, and although the connection with these poems remains weak at best, they add a provocative element to the compositions themselves, which require at least some kind of programmatic interpretation. Multi-instrumentalist David Thorne is primarily responsible for the more aggressive nature of this record. His guitar parts explode with energy and tension, giving Garbarek a wider playing field, and given his penchant for excessive restraint, these are the pleasant moments that adorn the album. ...more
