A rare Japanese original of a cult album.  Tug of War is the third solo studio album by English musician Paul McCartney, released on April 26, 1982. This is his 11th album since the breakup of The Beatles in 1970, his first album released since the breakup of his band Wings last year, and his first album since the assassination of his former collaborator John Lennon.  Rolling Stone music critic Stephen Holden called Tug of War "a masterpiece that everyone always knew Paul McCartney could create," and particularly admired his vibrant music and consistent songwriting. The album restored McCartney's reputation in the eyes of critics after what was considered a difficult period for him. PINK FLOYD-UMMAGUMMA (2LP)-1969-THE FIRST PRESS of UK-HARVEST-SHDW1/2. matrix A-1/B-2/C-1/D-2. stamper 2RO/2RL/1AG/2RTUmmagumma is the fourth double album by the British rock band Pink Floyd, released on November 7, 1969 by Harvest Records. Presumably, the word "ummagumma" means "having sex" in the slang of Cambridge students. After the album was released, the band members said that the album's name meant absolutely nothing, but just sounded interesting. The first lp contains live recordings of the band in Birmingham and Manchester, made in the spring of 1969. The second album consists of original studio recordings made at Abbey Road Studios. The second record consists of four parts, each written by one of the band members. The album Ummagumma reached number five in the charts in the UK and number 74 in the USA. ...more

BRIAN  MAY (EX-QUEEN) + FRIENDS-STAR FLEET PROJECT - 1983-THE FIRST UK PRESS- EMI-SFLT107806. A rare British original by a QUEEN guitarist. The Star Fleet Project is a solo project by Brian May, Queen's guitarist, and a mini-album of the same name. The album, released under the name "Brian May + Friends", features May, guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alan Gratzer (then playing in REO Speedwagon), Phil Chen (session bassist who played with Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart) and Fred Mandel (keyboardist Alice Cooper and additional keyboardist in Hot Space Tour and The Works by Queen). "The result is high-octane instrumental compositions in the rock style, which instantly became "royal" and are not much different from Flash with the addition of guitar pyrotechnics." The recordings were not intended for release and were minimally mixed.  "[May] called the Star Fleet Project a 'mini-album' because he considered it... too short to be a full-fledged album, but too long to even be a single." Although the album was not a success at first, by the end of the year it had reached number 35 in the UK and 125 in the USA. ...more
