A very rare Canadian original of the cult album. Pendulum is the sixth studio album by American band Creedence Clearwater Revival, recorded at Wally Hyder's studio in San Francisco and released by the Fantasy label in December 1970. Pendulum is the last CCR album to feature rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, who left the band shortly after the album's release. The record demonstrates the group's desire to expand its own stylistic framework, a number of his compositions are musically noticeably more complex than the CCR recordings of the 1968-1969 sample. The album became a major success in continental Europe, Scandinavia and Canada, topping most album charts in the second half of 1978, and also became their first number one album in the UK. In Canada, the album received a nomination for the 1980 Juno Award in the International Album of the Year category. Nightflight to Venus includes the worldwide hits "Rivers of Babylon" and "Brown Girl in the Ring", a two-sided single that topped the UK singles chart and sold over 2 million copies.[4] The sequel was another Boney M. classic, "Rasputin", which in most countries was also performed on the double A side in combination with "Painter Man", a cover version of the 1966 hit by The Creation.
