DEEP PURPLE-FIREBALL-1971-SECOND PRESS 1972 JAPAN-WARNER-P-8092W Rare Japanese edition of the cult album. Fireball is the fifth studio album by the British rock band Deep Purple. Recorded between September 1970 and June 1971, it was released in September 1971 on the Harvest Records label. The album was recorded at De Lane Lea Studios (like its predecessor). Compared to Deep Purple in Rock, this album was recorded in a more experimental style. Allmusic named it one of the band's four most important albums, along with Machine Head, In Rock and Burn. Ian Gillan, unlike the rest of the band, considers this album a classic of Deep Purple. However, he noted that the inclusion of "Anyone's Daughter" on the album (in a country style and with humorous lyrics) was fun, but a mistake ("A good bit of fun, but a mistake"). Jon Lord highlighted several tracks on the album, such as "No No No" and "Fools", and especially noted Pace's performance on the title track. On June 1, Sinatra was scheduled to perform a charity concert at midnight at the Royal Festival Hall in London in front of an audience that included many British celebrities and dignitaries, including Queen Elizabeth II's younger sister, Princess Margaret.
