It was released in the USA in October 1968 on the Tetragrammaton Records label, and in the UK in June 1969 on the EMI label. The musical style of The Book of Taliesyn is a mix of progressive rock, psychedelic rock and hard rock.[1][16][17][18][19]. Recorded during 1983-1985, the album became the second in the singer's discography, which she produced independently. The album was accompanied by four singles: "Running Up That Hill", "Cloudbusting", "Hounds of Love" and "The Big Sky". "Running Up That Hill" has become one of Kate Bush's most popular songs. Hounds of Love was the singer's most commercially successful studio album.
