Summer Vacation is an album of soundtracks by Cliff Richard and The Shadows for the film of the same name. This is their second soundtrack album for the film and Richard's eighth album overall. The album topped the UK Albums chart for 14 weeks. Three singles were released from the album. Before the album's release, the songs "The Next Time" and "Bachelor Boy" (on side A and side B respectively) were already hits. Released in January 1976 on Columbia Records. The most famous was opening the album is the song "Hurricane". It is a protest against the conviction of the boxer Rubin Carter, nicknamed "Hurricane", accused in the triple murder. The album received good grades and was on the first position on the Billboard Pop Albums chart for five weeks, becoming one of the biggest albums of Dylan (and having the status of double platinum) and rose to third position in the UK.
