SINATRA, FRANK -SINATRA SWINGS-1961-FIRST PRESS (STEREO) UK-REPRISE-R9-10002.  A rare British original of a cult album. Sinatra Swings (originally titled "Swing with Me") is an album by Frank Sinatra featuring Billy May and his orchestra, released in 1961. The two album titles stem from the fact that Capitol believed that this album, originally titled "Rock with Me," was so close in sound and title to Sinatra's earlier Capitol album, "Come Rock with Me!" what the label sought and was satisfied with was a court order requiring Reprise to change the name of this, only his second Reprise album, to Sinatra Swings. Reprinting was not required to recall the already shipped records, but new labels and covers had to be printed, and the album cover announced that it contained "twelve of the most uninhibited Sinatra pieces ever recorded." The tracks were arranged and conducted by Billy May and his orchestra. Sinatra had a minor hit with the single "Granada" included on this album. ...more

A rare Japanese edition of the iconic album. A Collection of Beatles Oldies is a collection containing a selection of songs by The Beatles recorded from 1963 to 1966. The album was released in 1966 by Parlophone in the UK and Australia, in both mono and stereo versions. By the pre-Christmas season of 1966, the EMI label had no new musical material from The Beatles for the first time in three years. The compilation was an alternative suitable to meet EMI's demand for new products, as the band had just begun recording Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the follow-up to their album Revolver, released in the summer. It was the first official compilation of the band's greatest hits, although the Beatles did not participate in the creation of the album. The album peaked at number six on the UK Albums Chart. The album cover contributed to the myth of "Paul is dead", as in the cover illustration, the road seems to lead directly into the head of a sitting person (as if secretly hinting: "Paul died on the road, in a car accident"). ...more

Released together with its 1967-1970 counterpart (The Blue Album) in 1973, the double album reached number 3 in the United Kingdom. In the United States, it topped the Cash Box Albums chart and reached number 3 on the Billboard Top LPs chart.  Tape, while in 1967-1970 it took the first place. MINGUS, CHARLES-RIGHT NOW-1966-FRANCE-AMERICA FIRST PRESS-30AM 6063.  A rare French original of a cult album.  Right Now: Live at the Jazz Workshop is a live album by jazz bassist and composer Charles Mingus, recorded in San Francisco in 1964 and released on the Fantasy label in 1966. The AllMusic review by Scott Yanow says: "Although this underrated band does not reach the passionate level of the Mingus-Dolphy quintet, it is quite independent."
