A mega rare original of a cult album .The Captain and the Kid is the twenty—eighth studio album by English musician Elton John, released in 2006. This is his second autobiographical album with songwriter Bernie Taupin, continuing the theme of Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy (1975). The Captain and the Kid tells about the events in their lives over the past three decades. The Captain and the Kid reached number 6 on the UK Albums Chart, which was a significant improvement over John's previous album Peachtree Road in 2004, which reached number 21. Captain reached number 18 on the US Billboard 200, but quickly dropped off the charts. At concerts in early 2007, John made it clear that he was unhappy with the promotion of the album by Interscope Records, and threatened to terminate the contract with the label. The album consists mainly of re-recorded songs from Ri's previous albums, as well as the new track "Working on It", which reached number 73 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and became Ri's only hit to reach number one on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The song "On the Beach" reached number 9 on the US Adult Contemporary Singles Chart and number 12 on the UK Singles Chart. The album reached number five on the UK Albums Chart, staying there for over a year, and was triple platinum by the BPI until 1992. A rare American original of a cult album. Cerrone IV - The Golden Touch is the fourth studio album by French disco musician and producer Jean-Marc Cerrone, released in 1978 on Malligator (773,807) in France, on Atlantic branch Cotillion (SD 5208) in the USA, on CBS - in European countries. Having gained the huge popularity of his previous album, Supernatural - Cerrone III (1977), Cerrone decided to consolidate his success by signing important contracts. First of all, he signed an agreement with the Machat brothers: producer Steven Machat and show business lawyer Martin Machat. They became Cerron's managers in order to promote it internationally. Steven Machat signed Cerron to Atlantic Records in the USA and Canada, and to CBS everywhere except the USA, Canada and France. In France, he was given the right to publish on his own Malligator label. While waiting for the fourth album, Cerrone's fans were wondering where it would turn. Will this project be as conceptual and ambitious as the previous Supernatural, or will Cerrone return to the lingering, pleasant to forget and party style of the first albums Love in C Minor (1976) and Cerrone's Paradise (1977)? Making something amazing again after Supernature was, of course, not an easy task. Cerrone didn't repeat himself, but he made the fourth album no worse than the third. Cerrone IV: The Golden Touch was met with rave reviews in the United States, and Atlantic threw a huge party in New York in October 1978, one of the largest parties ever held for artists at that time. ARABESQUE-ARABESQUE-1978-THE FIRST SCANDINAVIA-TALENT-TLS3051 PRESS.  A very rare Scandinavian original of the first album of disco giants. Arabesque I (Friday Night) is the debut studio album by the West German disco band Arabesque. It was released in 1978 on EMI Electrola in Germany and on Victor Record in Japan. The Arabesque disco group was founded in 1977 (registered in the German city of Offenbach in a recording studio owned by legendary producer Frank Farian). At that time, there was a fashion in Europe for "girl groups” in which female vocals were dominant: Baccara, ABBA, Boney M. The debut album of the Arabesque trio was recorded with the following line-up: Karen Ann Tepperis, Michaela Rose and Mary Ann Nagel. After recording the first record, Tepperis and Nagel left the band, and Jasmin Vetter and Heike Rimbeau became new members of the trio. In 1979, Arabesque joined the seventeen-year-old and still unknown Sandra Lauer, who replaced vocalist Heike Rimbeau. Sandra immediately became an informal leader in the band - in the vast majority of songs, the main vocals belonged to her. Arabesque were very popular in Japan; in Europe, however, until the release of "Marigot Bay" in 1980, the band could not boast of "frenzied" success. After that, they gained real popularity, but they never rose to the "Japanese" level. I must say that the girls from the group complemented each other surprisingly precisely: they seemed to represent "three elements", three different types - dark-skinned Southerner Michaela, blonde Northerner Jasmine and, finally, Sandra with her "Japanese" cut of the eyes.In 1984, Sandra's five-year contract to work at Arabesque expired. She, with the support of her future husband Michael Cretu, decides to start a solo career, and the band, which rose due to Sandra's talent, ceases to exist. In the same year, the band's last album "Time To Say Good Bye" was released. Michaela Rose and Jasmine Vetter, trying not to miss their chance, create a new band called Rouge, but it was not successful. Rouge disbanded in 1988. Popularity in the USSR. Despite the lack of popularization of disco in the Soviet media, it had a lot of fans in the USSR. Arabesque were one of the favorite bands in Soviet discos. The popularity of the band was so great that in 1984 the Melodiya company released a record with ten songs from different albums. The record quickly became, as they said at the time, "scarce", and it could only be bought with a huge overpayment. Most of the band's songs were distributed across the country in tape recordings. In 1989, in the wake of Perestroika, Sandra was invited to Moscow, where she was greeted by a full house of enthusiastic fans. A rare American original of a cult album. Love in C Minor is the debut album by French musician and producer Jean-Marc Cerron, released in 1976 in France on Malligator, in Europe on Atlantic, in Spain on Hispavox, and in the USA in 1977 on Cotillion. Now Cerrone is already called a "legend of dance music", who had a huge impact on entire generations of DJs and is considered, along with Giorgio Moroder, the trendsetter of Eurodiscoe. One of the centers of Eurodisco (along with Munich) was London's Trident Studios, which was fueled by France. It was here that Parisians Jean-Marc Cerron and Alec R. Costandinos decided to record their first disco opus with the assistance of sound engineer Peter Kelsey. As a result, an album was born called Love in C Minor.  At the Billboard Disco Forum in 1978, Cerrone received six awards, including Artist of the Year in Disco Music. ...more
