This is the soundtrack to the 1960 film of the same name, in which he starred. Recording sessions took place on April 27 and 28, and on May 6, 1960 at RCA Victor Studio C and Radio Recorders in Hollywood, California. The album topped the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart. The last four songs were recorded using acoustic guitars. They were written and recorded in only a few sessions in the Studio (except "You're Crazy", which was included in an alternate version of the album Appetite for Destruction).In later interviews, Axl rose said that he likes how the band sounded on the last four songs, but he hated the sound of his voice. Rose recalled that his voice was hoarse and rough due to long touring bands at the time, and if he could, he re-recorded his vocals.
