The Beatles (also known as The White Album) is the tenth studio album by The Beatles and the band's only double release. The album, released in 1968, is better known as the "White Album" because of its white cover, which contains nothing but the band's name (the early editions also feature a serial number), and which was designed by artist Richard Hamilton as an antithesis to the mottled image of its predecessor. The White Album was the first album The Beatles recorded and released after the death of the band's manager, Brian Epstein. In the Beginning is a double album by flautist Hubert Laws, released on CTI and recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's studio in 1974. The album was later re-released on CTI as two separate volumes under the title Then There Was Light. Critics praised the album stating: "In this double album, flautist Hubert Lawes is in all his glory. The music ranges from classical pieces to straight-forward jazz with hints of ' 70s funk included in the mix... this record is one of the most significant of Hubert Laws ' career."  The Penguin Encyclopedia of Jazz Recordings describes it as “the best album and a good, complete representation of flute playing."” ...more

From February to August 1991, Talkov and his musical group "Lifebuoy Krug" demonstrated the author's concert program " Sud " at many concert venues in the USSR, which included the most acute social songs of the musician and his most famous lyrical songs. A very rare original of the cult album.  Lightbulb Sun is the sixth studio album by British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, first released in May 2000 on CD only , and then in 2008 on vinyl. This album, along with their previous album Stupid Dream, is considered a more commercial, poppy sound, as opposed to the abstract instrumental sound of their previous albums or the heavier metal sound in their subsequent 2000s albums. The album is split into two parts between "Rest Will Flow" and "Hatesong". The album's reception was mostly positive. Classic Rock magazine described the album as "an album of amazing songs and amazing musicality... "Breathtaking." from Allmusic praised the album's quality and its more commercial direction, and called the tracks "feel So low" and "the rest of the flow" with two of Wilson's best tunes of all time."Many reviewers felt that the album sounds similar to the work of Pink Floyd. The album was also praised for being more accessible than most modern progressive rock. In October 2011, it was awarded the gold Certificate of the Association of Independent Music Companies (IMPALA), which testified to sales of over 75,000 copies throughout Europe. ...more
