MAGGIE, BELL (EX-STONE THE CROWS) - SUICIDE SAL-1975-FIRST PRESS UK-POLYDOR-2383313. A very rare original blues vocalist from STONE THE CROWS. Stone the Crows disbanded in 1973, following the accidental death of Leslie Harvey from electrocution on May 2, 1972. Harvey was an integral part of the band and its music. Peter Grant became Bell's manager after the split, and along with Mark London, offered to help Bell record a solo album. Grant directed the release of her first solo album, Queen of the Night (1974), which was recorded in New York City. with producer Jerry Wexler. The swan song for Bell came when she signed with the then-newly formed Swan Song Records in 1974, along with Bad Company and Pretty Things, Jimmy Page contributed to her second album Suicide Sal (1975).  ...more

Mega rare original of one of the legends of Russian rock.  Recorded in 1988, the album Yankee Diaghileva. "This is the first official Yankee album, Not Supposed to, recorded at Coffin Studios on January 9, 1988. Subsequently, with the addition of various material from a later period, it was released on vinyl. Yana (Yanka) Stanislavovna Dyagileva (September 4, 1966, Novosibirsk-presumably May 9, 1991, Novosibirsk district, Novosibirsk region) was a Soviet rock singer, author, performer, member of the punk rock groups "Civil Defense", "Great October", etc. One of the brightest representatives of the Siberian underground of the late 1980s.She began to give concerts, mostly apartment concerts, where she performed her songs with a guitar. Diaghilev quickly gained fame and respect in the Soviet rock underground, and Yankee's unauthorized albums were released.During her lifetime, Yanka was not actually noticed by the official media. She really did not like to give interviews, rejected the offer of "Melody" to release a CD, the TV did not shoot video materials about Yanka. Diaghilev never sought popularity and did not contribute in any way to the "promotion" of her name. She died in May 1991. The circumstances of the death are not fully clarified.
