URIAH HEEP-...VERY 'EAVY VERY 'UMBLE-1970-THE FIRST PRESS OF GERMANY- VERTIGO SWIRL-6360006. A very rare German original of the cult album. The album was released in June 1970 by Vertigo Records in the UK. The original vinyl release was a spread-out envelope with frontman David Byron depicted on the front sleeve, almost unrecognizable under the cobwebs. It was released in August 1970 by Mercury Records in the United States under the name just Uriah Heep with a different cover design (a centipede-type monster) and with the track "Bird of Prey" instead of "Lucy Blues". The album was re-released by Bronze Records in 1971 after the band signed a contract with that label. The album shows how the band tries different genres – a mix of heavy metal and progressive rock, rather than hard rock, which they became known for on later albums. Tracks 3 and 8 were recorded as Spice songs before the band's renaming to Uriah Heep, and featured session musician Colin Wood on keyboards. When Ken Hensley joined Spice in early 1970, the tracks were not re-recorded.

Vinyl record in top condition- NMINT/ARCHIVE. The front cover is laminated in top condition - NMINT/ARCHIVE . Labels are clean and beautiful- NMINT/ARCHIVE

The quartet consists of flautists David Murray and Arthur Blythe, as well as bassist and cellist Slip Warren. The AllMusic review, written by Scott Yanow, states: "The first (and most powerful) of Jack DeJohnette's Special Edition line-ups produced a sound that in many ways was revolutionary for modern and creative improvised music around 1980... This album deserves the highest rating of five stars for the high place it occupies in the evolution of jazz, striving for new heights and horizons." In 2012, a JazzTimes reviewer named it one of DeJohnette's key albums. ...more

MOORE GARY-WILD FRONTIER-1987-FIRST PRESS UK-10 RECORDS- DIX56. A rare British original by a great guitarist. Wild Frontier is the sixth solo studio album by Northern Irish guitarist Gary Moore, released on March 2, 1987. This is his first studio work after returning to his native Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1985. The album contains several songs about Ireland. The album is dedicated to the memory of Moore's close friend and former Thin Lizzy member Phil Lynott, who died on January 4, 1986. It says "Philippe" on the back cover. Wild Frontier contains the hit single "Over the Hills and Far Away", which reached number 20 in the UK, as well as a cover version of the Easybeats song "Friday on My Mind". Max Middleton's song "The Loner" was originally recorded by Cozy Powell for his album Over the Top in 1979 (on which Moore performed, although not on Powell's recording of "The Loner"). Moore significantly changed the track for his recording, so he is listed as a co-author. The song "Crying in the Shadows", which was released as the B-side of the single "Over the Hills and Far Away" in December 1986 and featured as a bonus track on the Wild Frontier CD, was also recorded by Japanese singer Minako Honda under the name "The Cross (Ai No Jujika)"with Moore as the guitarist. ...more

WINGS-LONDON TOWN-1978-THE FIRST JAPAN PRESS-MPL-EPS-81000 Rare Japanese original in top condition with a poster.  London Town is the sixth studio album by the British—American rock band Wings. It was released in March 1978, two years after its predecessor Wings at the Speed of Sound. The album had a long and stormy preparation, during which the band's 1977 tour plans were canceled due to the fact that Linda McCartney became pregnant with her and Paul McCartney's fourth child, and two Wings members left, leaving the band as a trio consisting of Paul, Linda and Danny Lane. Recording sessions took place intermittently throughout the year, mostly at Abbey Road Studios in London and aboard a luxury yacht in the Virgin Islands. "London Town" reached the top 5 of the UK and US charts. However, he failed to repeat the success of the three previous Wings albums, and he received mostly negative reviews from music critics. The lead single "With a Little Luck" became a number 1 hit in the United States, but subsequent singles from the album had only minor chart success. Also recorded during the sessions was the 1977 single "Mull of Kintyre", which until 1984 was the best-selling single in the history of the British charts and remains the best-selling single in the UK to this day. ...more

Red Rose Speedway is the second album by Paul McCartney and the Wings group he created (it is the fourth in Paul McCartney's discography outside and after his participation in The Beatles), released in 1973 by Apple Records after the relative commercial failure of Wings' debut album Wild Life (perhaps one of the reasons for this failure was that the authors-the performers of the album were the little—known band Wings, without mentioning in the band's name that it was McCartney's band). The album reached the 1st position on the Billboard 200 chart. ...more
