WILLY TOKAREV - GOLD-1983-ORIGINAL PRESS 2015 -EU-MIRUMIR-MIR100470. A rare anniversary edition of the iconic album. "Gold" is the fourth studio album by Soviet, American and Russian author-performer Willy Tokarev, released in 1983 on the Sava Recording Corporation label in the USA. The producer is Willy Tokarev. At the age of 40, in 1974, Willy Tokarev emigrated to the United States with $100 in his pocket. He was sheltered for 2-3 weeks by the Tolstoy Foundation, headed by Alexandra Tolstaya, daughter of Leo Tolstoy. There he was a courier, a cleaner in a bakery, sorted through the Russian library of a millionaire, a newspaper deliveryman, became unemployed because he did not know English well, so he began to learn the language by reading American newspapers, graduated from a nurse's course, learned to drive a car, passed a taxi driving test and began working as a taxi driver to earn money for recording records, writing songs in his spare time, he was robbed four times (once, on Christmas Day, he was almost killed by a black man). He played at Carnegie Hall on a balalaika, which he bought at a souvenir shop on Fifth Avenue for $ 50, then played and sang in restaurants and nightclubs.  In 1979, the first record "And life is always beautiful!" was released, which was not particularly noticed. In 1981, the second album "In a noisy booth" was released, which brought Tokarev fame among Russian-speaking emigrants. In the 1980s, he worked at the Russian restaurant Sadko, and then at the restaurants Primorsky and Odessa, accompanied by Irina Ola. He was called the "honorary Jew of Brighton." Willy founded his own label, One Man Band, and recorded about twenty albums there.In 1989, Willy Tokarev flew to the USSR with concerts. A major role in organizing these tours was played by the famous entrepreneur Viktor Shulman, who himself also performed "Odessa songs" from the repertoire of Leningrad "tape recorder" bards, Boris Sichkin and other veterans of the genre. 70 concerts throughout the Soviet Union were a success. ...more

The first album of the famous band, a rare British original. The Electric Light Orchestra is the debut studio album by the English rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), released in December 1971 in the United Kingdom by Harvest Records. In the United States, the album was released in March 1972 under the title "No Answer" after a United Artists Records employee misunderstood a phone call and asked for the album's name; the caller, unable to contact ELO, wrote "no answer" in his notes, and this was misinterpreted as the album's title. The album is dedicated to the main trio of Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne and Bev Bevan, who were the remaining members of the rock band The Move. The Move continued to release singles in the UK at the same time that the project was launched, but interest in Wood's former band soon waned. Virgin Killer is the fourth Studio album by the German band Scorpions, released in 1976, the band's first album, known outside Europe. The title song, Virgin Killer, illuminates the subject of human depravity, it gave the idea covers with naked young virgin who was banned in the United States and several other countries. As with the previous album, In Trance, the cover was censored in some countries the album was released with an alternative version of the cover. The artwork was Steffan Böhle, Manager of RCA Records. He depicted a naked minor girl on black background; broken glass effect covering her genitals. In Japan, the album reached the 32nd line in the hit parade. ROBERT PLANT / JIMMY PAGE-NO QUARTER (2LP'S+PROMO PHOTO TOUR)-1994-FIRST PRESS USA-ATLANTIC 82706-1.  A mega rare original by two musicians from LED ZEPPELIN. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, who became famous as members of the English rock band Led Zeppelin, recorded and toured in the mid-1990s as Page and Plant. Together with session musicians, they gave several concerts in 1994, the recordings of which made up their first album in a new capacity, "No Quarter", which was a significant success, after which they went on a world tour. They then recorded their second album, Walking into Clarksdale, and played another world tour, before disbanding the project at the end of 1998. PAUL KOSSOFF WITH BLACK CAT BONES- PAUL'S BLUES (3LP'S) -1968-FIRST PRESS 2008 UK-SUNBEAM-SBR3LP5058. Kossoff's first real band was The Black Cat Bones.  She was a blues-rock band from the late 60s, which alsofuture Freelance drummer Simon Kirk participated (while this album also includes the likes of Derek and Stuart Brooks from Leaf Hound, along with Paul Rogers). The Bones were well known at concert venuesand they performed as a house band for many bands coming to the USA, and also supported Fleetwood Mac and Peter Green. This 3-disc set features Kossoff's earliest known works, including rehearsals with The Bones in London in 1967. Both the content and the sound quality are such that only fans can be interested, but those same fans will enjoy listening to Kossoff's fiery jams when he was at the peak of his career. ...more
