JOPLIN, JANIS-IN CONCERT (2LP'S)-1972- FIRST PRESS USA-COLUMBIA-AL31162.  A rare American original of the cult album. In Concert is a live album by Janis Joplin. It was released in 1972, after Joplin's death, as a double album. The first record contains performances with Big Brother and the Holding Company, and the second with the Full Tilt Boogie Band, recorded in different locations in 1968 and 1970. There are no live recordings from her first solo work with the Kozmic Blues band on the album, although the songs produced with this group were performed in Full Tilt Boogie Band recordings. The photographs used for the gatefold album were taken by photographer David Gar in New York in 1969 and 1970. The album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 in the US. ...more

Virgin Killer is the fourth Studio album by the German band Scorpions, released in 1976, the band's first album, known outside Europe. The title song, Virgin Killer, illuminates the subject of human depravity, it gave the idea covers with naked young virgin who was banned in the United States and several other countries. As with the previous album, In Trance, the cover was censored in some countries the album was released with an alternative version of the cover. The artwork was Steffan Böhle, Manager of RCA Records. He depicted a naked minor girl on black background; broken glass effect covering her genitals. In Japan, the album reached the 32nd line in the hit parade. The first album of the famous band, a rare British original. The Electric Light Orchestra is the debut studio album by the English rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), released in December 1971 in the United Kingdom by Harvest Records. In the United States, the album was released in March 1972 under the title "No Answer" after a United Artists Records employee misunderstood a phone call and asked for the album's name; the caller, unable to contact ELO, wrote "no answer" in his notes, and this was misinterpreted as the album's title. The album is dedicated to the main trio of Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne and Bev Bevan, who were the remaining members of the rock band The Move. The Move continued to release singles in the UK at the same time that the project was launched, but interest in Wood's former band soon waned.
