A rare British early edition . Fleetwood Mac is the tenth studio album by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on July 11, 1975 by Reprise Records. It was the band's second album of the same name, the first was the 1968 debut album. It was Fleetwood Mac's first album with Lindsey Buckingham as guitarist and Stevie Nicks as vocalist, after Bob Welch (guitarist, singer and songwriter) left the band at the end of 1974. On September 4, 1976, the album topped the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, 58 weeks after its release. In support of the record, three singles were released — "Over My Head", "Rhiannon" and "Say You Love Me" — each of which hit the top twenty of the charts, with the last two stopping a step away from the Top 10 - both at 11th place. The record received seven times platinum certification in the United States, with a total circulation of more than seven million copies. The record was less successful in the United Kingdom, taking only 23rd place there, but it became a prelude to a series of local bestsellers - the four next Fleetwood Mac albums — Rumours, Tusk (English)rus., Tango in the Night and Behind the Mask (English)rus. — each of which topped the national hit parade ...more

Released in the United States on March 30, 1966 by Reprise Records, it became The Kinks' first American album with the same track list as its British counterpart. This is a transitional album containing elements of both earlier Kinks styles (songs with strong blues influences such as "Milk Cow Blues" and variations on the themes of the band's hits from 1964 to 1965 based on power chords such as "Until the End of the Day") and early indications of the future direction of Ray Davis' songwriting styles ("The World Keeps Going Round" and "I'm on an Island"). The title notes were written by Michael Aldred. The single "Till the End of the Day" became a real hit, peaking at number 8 in the UK and number 50 in the US, staying on each chart for eight weeks or more. ...more

It was released on March 21, 1977 on Barn Records, but failed to chart nationally. By the time the album was released, Slade's popularity was declining, as were their record sales, which they acknowledged in the album title. The glam rock movement that Slade was associated with died, and the careers of other glam rock artists such as Mud, Gary Glitter and Sweet went downhill. In Britain, where Slade was traditionally the most popular, punk rock was in fashion. With this album, Slade established themselves as a straight-talking rock band; their "glam" statements from the beginning of the decade are a thing of the past. The album received critical acclaim and support from the English punk movement. In a 1979 Slade fan poll, the album was ranked among the top three Slade albums. ...more
