The album marked a significant change in style for Moore, [1] [2] who prior to this album was primarily known for his hard rock work with Thin Lizzy, G-Force, Greg Lake, and during his extensive solo career, as well as his jazz fusion work with Colosseum II. As the name suggests, Still Got The Blues demonstrates Moore's commitment to electric blues. The title track was released as a single and peaked at # 97 on the Billboard Hot 100 on February 16, 1991. The album was certified platinum in Brazil, and gold in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. The album was recorded in 1987 and released on May 3, 1988. In 1987, the single "The Living Daylights" was released, which became the theme to the film "Sparks from the Eyes" about James Bond and was later included in the album. Of the singles, the most popular was "Stay on These Roads", which reached number one on the Norwegian chart, and performed well in other European countries.
