THE FLOCK is the first album by a very interesting American band that worked at the junction of jazz, blues and rock. In almost any criticism you will read that FLOCK is very similar to CHICAGO, was influenced by CHICAGO, or something similar. You can safely throw this criticism in the trash... The Flock failed to achieve the commercial success of other jazz-rock bands of the era, such as Chicago and Blood Sweat and Tears, but they became quite famous due to the inclusion of the violin in the group. On the Road to Freedom is an album by English rock musician Alvin Lee and American gospel singer Milon Lefevre. Released in November 1973, it was Lee's first solo project, which achieved international success thanks to his leadership of a blues rock band ten years later. The album was recorded at Lee's home studio in south Oxfordshire, which he and Lefebvre built specifically for the project. Guest musicians on the sessions were George Harrison, Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Ron Wood and Mick Fleetwood. "Fallen Angel" and Harrison's song "So Sad (No Love of His Own)" were released as singles from the album. The album On the Road to Freedom was well received by music critics, although Lee's more subtle guitar playing and new musical direction were not welcomed by fans Ten Years After.  ...more

A very rare British original of the cult album. Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake is the third studio album and the only concept album by English rock band Small Faces. Released on May 24, 1968, the album reached number one on the UK album charts on June 29, where it remained for a total of six weeks.  Ultimately, it became the band's last studio album during their initial incarnation (and the last album to contain exclusively new material until the release of the Playmates reunion album in 1977). The album's title and distinctive packaging design were a parody of Ogden's Nut-Brown Flakes, a brand of canned crumbly tobacco that was produced in Liverpool. since 1899 by Thomas Ogden.
