Lot 45.GENESIS-DUKE-1980-FIRST PRESS UK-CHARISMA-NMINT/NMINT

GENESIS-DUKE-1980-THE FIRST UK-CHARISMA -CBR101 PRESS. Matrices A-2/B-2. A rare British original in top condition. Duke is the tenth studio album by the British progrock band Genesis, and the second recorded by her as a trio, released on March 31, 1980. The recording of the album took place at Phil Collins' house, who was simultaneously working on his solo debut Face Value. According to Collins, he was "kind of obsessed with Duke." The compositions "Behind The Lines", "Duchess", "Guide Vocal", "Turn It On Again", "Duke's Travels" and "Duke's End" were originally a whole piece called "Duke Suite" with the central character Albert, but the band decided to split it up to avoid comparisons with 23-minute "Supper's Ready" from the album Foxtrot. This simplification reflected the group's departure from complex compositions, its desire to become more straightforward and well suited to the era of the 80s.  Duke became the band's first album to reach number one in the UK charts. In the same year, Duke received platinum status at home, and in 1988 — in the USA In support of the album, a tour of Britain and North America was arranged from April to June 1980, which began with a tour of 40 concerts in the UK, where all 106,000 tickets were sold within a few hours of going on sale ...more

EXTREME-III SIDES TO EVERY STORY (2LP)-1992-FIRST PRESS HOLLAND-A?M - 540006-1. A very rare original of hard rock monsters mixed with glam and funk. III Sides to Every Story is the third studio album by American rock band Extreme, released in 1992. This is a concept album with a conditional division into three sections or "sides", called "Yours", "Mine" and "The Truth", each of which has its own sound and lyrical images. Despite the fact that fans and music critics consider the album Extreme one of the best, III Sides to Every Story suffered a commercial failure (it sold only about 700,000 copies compared to the double platinum Pornograffitti), because it did not have a hit single such as "More Than Words" (which took first place in the Billboard Hot 100 charts in 1991), from its predecessor Pornograffitti (although the single "Rest in Peace" reached number one on the mainstream rock chart). ...more
