A very rare original of the cult album. Bless It Pointed Little Head is a Jefferson Airplane album recorded live at Fillmore East and West in the fall of 1968 and released in 1969 as RCA Victor LSP-4133. Five songs from the album did not appear on any of the band's previous studio recordings. Many of the Airplane's recordings on the album were longer than their studio performances. The performance emphasized their vocal harmony and showed a tougher rock band. The last four songs were recorded using acoustic guitars. They were written and recorded in only a few sessions in the Studio (except "You're Crazy", which was included in an alternate version of the album Appetite for Destruction).In later interviews, Axl rose said that he likes how the band sounded on the last four songs, but he hated the sound of his voice. Rose recalled that his voice was hoarse and rough due to long touring bands at the time, and if he could, he re-recorded his vocals. It was the first album to be released after the band's reorganization, after their breakup in 1970. Founding guitarist Luther Grosvenor did not return to the band as he joined Mott the Hoople as a guitarist, adopting the stage name Ariel Bender. Grosvenor was replaced by Mick Jones, who later co-founded Foreigner, and drummer Mike Kelly was replaced by Bryson Graham.
