DEEP PURPLE-SLAVES AND MASTERS-1990-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-RCA- PL90535. A rare original of the cult album.  Slaves and Masters is the thirteenth studio album by Deep Purple, released on October 5, 1990. The CD was recorded with the participation of vocalist Joe Lynn Turner, who came to replace Ian Gillan at the suggestion of Richie Blackmore. The album went on sale on November 5, 1990 and caused contradictory responses. They could very well continue their career as "Rainbow" and at a much higher level than if they continued as "Deep Purple". Upon its release, the album Slaves and Masters reached number 87 on the US Billboard 200 chart. Despite low album sales, Deep Purple conducted a relatively successful tour in support of Slaves and Masters in 1991, especially for the band's European leg. Turner was still a member of the band when they began writing and recording their next album in 1992, but under pressure from managers who were planning a tour in honor of Deep Purple's 25th anniversary, they eventually decided to bring Gillan back into the lineup for their 1993 studio album The Battle Rages On...
