The album, produced by Chas Chandler, was the first to be released under the Slade name since the band's 1969 debut album was released under the Ambrose Slade name. Cucumber Castle is the seventh studio album by the British band Bee Gees, released in April 1970. Cucumber Castle is the only Bee Gees album recorded without Robin Gibb. The singer left the band at that time for a solo career and did not take part in the work on the record. His voice can be heard in several songs, but he is not even mentioned in the credits. Instead, some vocal parts are performed by the British soul singer P. P. Arnold. The album was accompanied by the release of two singles.
