A rare British original in top condition. Duke is the tenth studio album by the British progrock band Genesis, and the second recorded by her as a trio, released on March 31, 1980. The recording of the album took place at Phil Collins' house, who was simultaneously working on his solo debut Face Value. According to Collins, he was "kind of obsessed with Duke." The compositions "Behind The Lines", "Duchess", "Guide Vocal", "Turn It On Again", "Duke's Travels" and "Duke's End" were originally a whole piece called "Duke Suite" with the central character Albert, but the band decided to split it up to avoid comparisons with 23-minute "Supper's Ready" from the album Foxtrot. This simplification reflected the group's departure from complex compositions, its desire to become more straightforward and well suited to the era of the 80s.  Duke became the band's first album to reach number one in the UK charts.
