SAVOY BROWN-LOOKING IN-1970-THE FIRST UK-DECCA-SKL5066 Matrix A-1W/B-1W PRESS. A rare British original of the cult blues-rock band. Looking In is the sixth album by British blues band Savoy Brown. The album featured "Lonesome" Dave Peverett on vocals after Chris Yulden left the band last spring. Leader/guitarist Kim Simmonds will be the only band member to continue working with the band after this album, as all the other band members left to form Foghat next year. It was released by Decca in 1970 (SKL 5066). For release in the USA and Canada, the cassettes were leased to Parrot Records (PAS 71042). The album spent a week in the official UK charts and reached number 50. It performed significantly better in the US, where it spent 19 weeks on the Billboard 200, peaking at number 39, their second-highest album on the US charts. ...more
