His most famous composition, the ballad "Misty", became a jazz standard. Scott Yanow of Allmusic calls him "one of the most outstanding pianists" and "a brilliant virtuoso."He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6363 Hollywood Boulevard. As the name suggests, Still Got The Blues demonstrates Moore's commitment to electric blues. The title track was released as a single and peaked at # 97 on the Billboard Hot 100 on February 16, 1991. One of the first rock operas in the USSR, created on the initiative of director Mark Zakharov based on the dramatic cantata by the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda "The Shining and Death of Joaquin Murieta, a Chilean robber killed in California on July 23, 1853." The play was performed on the stage of the Lenkom Theater for 17 seasons and was shown 1050 times.  In 1978, the first record "The Star and the Death of Joaquin Murieta" was released — the main parts were performed by: The Star, Teresa - Jeanne Rozhdestvenskaya; Joaquin Murieta, Death - Gennady Trofimov.
