The album is a collection of tracks recorded at various times between 1970 and 1978, with additional parts by page, who initiated the album's release. The album was received very well by the public and critics, and this is evident from the charts of 1982-UK Albums Chart-4th place, US Billboard 200 Albums Chart-6, Australian Albums Chart -9, Canada top 100 Albums-3.

Wake The Sleeper is the 21st Studio album by rock band Uriah Heep, released on June 2, 2008 in Europe and August 26, 2008 in the United States. This was to ensure that the album was properly promoted, not that it was "lost" during the shift, and although this was unpleasant for them, the band members supported it.
