The album peaked at number four in the US and number three in the UK. The album contains the singles "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", which peaked at number 16 on the UK Singles chart and number two in the US, and "The Bitch Is Back", which peaked at number 15 in the UK and number four in the US. Both singles reached number one in Canada on the national RPM 100 Top Singles Chart, as did the album itself. The album was met with lukewarm reviews on its release, and legacy reviews do not consider this record one of John's best works from his peak period of the early 1970s. However, the album was a commercial success and was certified double platinum in the US, as well as being certified gold in the UK. BORIS RUBASCHKIN-RUSSISCHE STRASSEN LIEDER-1969-FIRST PRESS SWITZERLAND-PLPS30087. A very rare original of a famous artist of Russian emigration .   Boris Semyonovich Rubashkin (real name-Chernorubashkin) He began studying vocals and continued to sing in a restaurant in the early 60s, he met with a producer, with whom he signed a contract for the first four records. The first record with Russian songs performed by the singer was released in 1965. In 1967, the artist won the competition and received his first engagement as a baritone at the Salzburg Opera. At this point, his work in the restaurant ended, and he left for the professional opera stage. The singer moves from Vienna to Salzburg. He was already 35 years old when he began his singing career. With the beginning of his solo opera career, the surname Chernorubashkin was shortened to "Rubashkin" - this was more profitable from a commercial point of view, because for a Western listener, his real name sounded too difficult. From 1967 to 1976, Boris Rubashkin worked at the Salzburg Opera (first baritone), and toured extensively.
