ABBA-VOULEZ-VOUS-1979-THE FIRST PRESS OF SWEDEN-POLAR - POLS282.A rare Swedish original of the cult album.  Voulez-Vous is the sixth studio album by Swedish pop band ABBA, released in 1979. The release is characterized by a large number of dance-oriented tracks, but it is wrong to define the genre of the album as exclusively "disco"; for example, the song "Does Your Mother Know" has quite definite rock motifs. The work on the album went on for more than a year, and during this time the participants had accumulated more material than what they managed to put on the album. Among the works of that period published much later, it is worth mentioning the composition Dream World, included as a bonus track on the 2010 reissue. In 1981, the album "Voulez-Vous" was released in the USSR by the company "Melody" and became the last numbered album "ABBA", released in the Soviet Union. A very rare original of a famous artist of Russian emigration .   Boris Semyonovich Rubashkin (real name-Chernorubashkin) He began studying vocals and continued to sing in a restaurant in the early 60s, he met with a producer, with whom he signed a contract for the first four records. The first record with Russian songs performed by the singer was released in 1965. In 1967, the artist won the competition and received his first engagement as a baritone at the Salzburg Opera. At this point, his work in the restaurant ended, and he left for the professional opera stage. The singer moves from Vienna to Salzburg. He was already 35 years old when he began his singing career. With the beginning of his solo opera career, the surname Chernorubashkin was shortened to "Rubashkin" - this was more profitable from a commercial point of view, because for a Western listener, his real name sounded too difficult. From 1967 to 1976, Boris Rubashkin worked at the Salzburg Opera (first baritone), and toured extensively. Since the early 70s, the singer began to successfully perform Russian songs and romances in his programs.
