The singles from the album were the songs "Just a Friend of Mine", "Puerto Rico", "Don't Cry for Louie" and "Johnny", the only song in French on the record. Vaya Con Dios was written with the cooperation of various artists, one of them — Burt Dekort, a former member of staff of the Mistress, worked to create "Puerto Rico". The album was originally planned to be released in 1990, after 18 concerts Eric in the beginning of the year, but the musician was dissatisfied with the recorded material and the gate 24 Nights was delayed.
