The album is based on the true story of a Japanese soldier (Hiroo Onoda) stranded on an island during world war II who doesn't know the war is over. "Naked" comes from his last name "Onoda". Most of the album consists of instrumentals, and only a few tracks contain lyrics. The album received high ratings - Allmusic-4 stars.
