Produced by Roy Thomas Baker, the album cover was suggested by Roger Taylor, who had previously seen a similar design painted on the Berlin wall. the album's various musical styles were alternately praised and criticized. It reached number two on the UK albums chart and number six on the us Billboard 200. Jazz has sold more than five million copies worldwide.
