The songs "Waiting for a Girl Like You", "Urgent" and "Juke Box Hero", released as the album's main singles, became hits. The CD seems to have completed the band's transition to hard rock, started in Head Games. Ian MacDonald, al Greenwood left the band before recording 4, they were not permanently replaced, and the sound of the album changed.
