At the 1967 Grammy Awards, Sinatra won two Grammy Awards for his efforts on this album, including Record of the Year for the title track, as well as Best Male Vocal Performance for the same song. (In the same year, he received another Grammy Award - "Album of the Year for a Man and his Music"). Ernie Freeman's arrangement of the title track earned him the Grammy Award for Best Arrangement Accompanied by a Vocalist or Instrumentalist. This is the last album Sinatra performed with longtime arranger/conductor Nelson Riddle and his orchestra. "Strangers in the Night" went platinum for one million copies sold in the United States.
