CAN- TAGO MAGO (2LP'S)-1971-FIRST UK PRESS-UNITED ARTISTS-UAD60009/10.Matrices A-1/B-1/C-1/D-1 is a very rare British original of the cult album.  Tago Mago is the second studio album by the German krautrock band Can, originally released as a double LP in August 1971 on the United Artists Records label. It was the band's first full-length studio album featuring vocalist Damo Suzuki after Malcolm Mooney's departure a year earlier, although Suzuki participated in recording most of the tracks on the 1970 compilation album Soundtracks. It was recorded at Can Studio [de] in Schloss Nörvenich, a medieval castle near Cologne. Tago Mago includes long experimental tracks that combine rock and jazz improvisation, funk rhythms and specific music using editing techniques.  The album was named Kahn's best and most extreme album in terms of sound and structure.  The album received widespread critical acclaim and influenced many artists. In 1976 the group left two musicians of the classic lineup of Van der Graaf Generator: Hugh Banton and David Jackson (who, however, participation in the recording of two tracks). A very rare British original of a cult album. Billion Dollar Babies is the sixth studio album by Alice Cooper and his band, released by Warner Bros. February 25, 1973, and topped the American and English album charts simultaneously. The singles released from it were: "Elected" (1972, No. 4 UK), "Hello, Hooray" (1973, No. 6 UK, No. 35 USA), "No More Mr. Nice Guy" (1973, No. 10 UK, No. 35 USA), "Billion Dollar Babies" (1973, No. 57 USA). The album received multi-platinum status, and the AllMusic Internet resource not only called it one of the best in Cooper's work, but also ranked it among the outstanding examples of classic rock of all time.  ...more

ROBERT CALVERT - CAPTAIN LOCKHEED AND THE STARFIGHTERS -1974- FIRST PRESS RELEASE UK-UNITED ARTISTS- UAG29507. A-1U/B-1U matrices. A rare British original of a cult album. The first solo album by Robert Calvert, an eccentric character who was still a full-time Hawkwind poet at that time and had not yet managed to become their full-time frontman. This is a very peculiar story album - the real story of the American Lockheed F-104 Starfighter fighter, which in the 60s was, it turns out, purchased by the West German Air Force in terrible quantities with such modifications that made the aircraft terribly emergency, as a result of which it earned the nickname "Widowmaker". Calvert is drawn here on two counts at once: firstly, he expresses his love and knowledge of military history; secondly, he demonstrates colorful sarcasm and a sense of humor. His targets, of course, are German generals (banter against Germans, as you know, is a traditional genre of British humor). The album actually resembles a radio play, in which song numbers alternate with comic skits brilliantly played by characters such as Vivian Stanshall from Bonzo Dog Band and, of course, Calvert himself. For music lovers, it is valuable here that Calvert was supported by almost the entire Hawkwind line-up at that time. ...more
