The first album of the famous band, a rare British original. The Electric Light Orchestra is the debut studio album by the English rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), released in December 1971 in the United Kingdom by Harvest Records. In the United States, the album was released in March 1972 under the title "No Answer" after a United Artists Records employee misunderstood a phone call and asked for the album's name; the caller, unable to contact ELO, wrote "no answer" in his notes, and this was misinterpreted as the album's title. The album is dedicated to the main trio of Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne and Bev Bevan, who were the remaining members of the rock band The Move. The Move continued to release singles in the UK at the same time that the project was launched, but interest in Wood's former band soon waned. The CD was released after the extraordinary success of Band on the Run and also became very popular. Paul McCartney's first album with Capitol Records. After the release of Band on the Run, Jimmy McCulloch (lead guitarist) and Jeff Britton (drummer) also joined the Wings in 1974. After McCartney wrote several new songs for the upcoming album, the band flew to New Orleans in January 1975, where they were scheduled to record Venus and Mars.Britton, having quarreled with McCulloch, left the band, having managed to participate in the recording of only three songs of the album. He was urgently replaced by American Joe English, with whom the recording was continued. McCartney made the songs in Venus and Mars blend seamlessly into each other, and the album in this sense became similar to The Beatles' Abbey Road album. The album was received very warmly, and it hits the Top 10 charts in all countries of the continent.
