A rare British original.  Stranded is the third studio album by the British rock band Roxy Music, released by Island Records in 1973. The CD was recorded at London's Air Studios. Stranded, an album featuring collaborators Bryan Ferry, Andy McKay and Phil Manzanera for the first time, rose to the top of the UK Albums Chart. The track "Street Life", released as a single, rose to #9 in the UK. Bryan Ferry listed the band's third album as one of his favorite creations. WHO WILL SAVE THE WORLD?-A 1972 album recorded by The Groundhogs, originally released by United Artists Records in 1972, The cover is in the form of a comic book featuring groundhogs depicted by superheroes, drawn by comic book artist Neil Adams. In the story, they are fighting the personified evils of overpopulation, environmental pollution, war, "Pig Business" and "Sacred Cow" (religion), as well as a drug-addicted Monkey. Each of the band members is fighting their own evil, which has been hindering them from the very beginning, only for them to stand out and wreak havoc in another part of the globe. The lyrics of each song touch on these themes, and despite the comic nature of the cover, the lyrics are quite serious because they are politically and socially motivated.This was the first Groundhogs album to go beyond guitar/bass/percussion instruments, with McPhee using keyboards (mellotron and harmonium) on a number of tracks. ...more

A rare American original of the iconic album. Phoenix is the sixth studio album by American band Grand Funk Railroad, released in September 1972 on Capitol Records. Two session musicians were brought in to record the albums — organist Craig Frost and violinist Doug Kershaw. The CD reached number 7 on the US Billboard 200 chart.The song "Rock 'n' Roll Soul" was released as a single and rose to number 29 on the chart in 1972. ...more

AC/DC-WHO MADE WHO- 1986-FIRST PRESS UK/EU-GERMANY-ATLANTIC-781650-1.  A rare European original, Who Made Who is an album by the Australian hard rock band AC/DC, released in 1986 as the soundtrack to the Stephen King film Maximum Acceleration. Who Made Who includes three new tracks (the title song, as well as two instrumental tracks: "Chase the Ace" and "D.T."), as well as old hits of the band: five songs from the Brian Johnson period (two tracks from the album Back in Black, two from the album Fly on the Wall, and one from the album For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)) and one from the Bon Scott period ("Ride On" from the album Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap) The album was a relative success and allowed the band to return to the charts after the unsuccessful (compared to Back in Black and For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)) albums Fly on the Wall and Flick of the Switch. ...more

BLIND FAITH-BLIND FAITH-1969-SECOND PRESS UK-POLYDOR-583059. Matrices A-1/B-1. A very rare second press of a cult album in top condition. Blind Faith is the only album by the British rock band of the same name, it was released in August 1969 and immediately topped the charts in the United States and Great Britain. The recording took place in London, first at Morgan Studios, and then at Olympic Studios, under the direction of producer Jimmy Miller. All tracks on this album belong to the band members, except for a cover version of "Well All Right" from Buddy Holly's repertoire. The album received positive reviews from critics, was a great commercial success and immediately topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. The cover of the album published in the UK shows a young topless girl (the younger sister of photographer Bob Seideman, the creator of the cover) holding a model airplane in her hands. In the USA, this picture was considered not quite decent, and the album was also released with an alternative cover, which featured a photo of the band members. The album went platinum in five countries and triple platinum in Australia.  ...more
