A rare original of the iconic jazzman. City of Eyes is an album by American jazz guitarist Ralph Towner recorded in 1988 and released on ECM the following April. The quintet consists of trumpeter Marcus Stockhausen, oboist Paul McCandless and rhythm section Gary Peacock and Jerry Granelli. Tom Jurek's review on AllMusic awarded the album 4 stars, stating: "City of Eyes once again shows Ralph Towner as a musical researcher, composer and instrumentalist who can convincingly create sonic journeys through time, space and terrain." ...more

A rare original of the cult jazzman of the third wave (the beginning of the 70s) First Circle is the fourth studio album by Pat Metheny's band, recorded over four days in February 1984 and released on ECM later that year. Metheny was joined by Lyle Mays on keyboards, Steve Rodby on bass, Paul Verty on drums and Pedro Aznar on vocals, percussion and guitar. A rare British original. A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the rock band Queen, released on December 2, 1975. The record was a great success: its sales reached three million, and it held the top position in the UK charts for four inconsistent weeks. The title of the album — "Night at the Opera" — as well as the subsequent one, is taken from the repertoire of American comedians of the 1930s by the Marx brothers, namely from the film of the same name. At each Queen concert, several songs from A Night at the Opera were necessarily performed (while "Love of My Life" was never performed in the album version). It is generally believed that the song "Death on Two Legs" is dedicated to the former producer of the band. "Bohemian Rhapsody" brought the band a resounding success and in 2000 was recognized in Britain as the "song of the millennium". The final album, "God Save the Queen", is the British national anthem arranged by Brian May; it was this composition that invariably completed each concert of the band. The album was ranked number 230 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2003, and number 128 on the 2020 list. ...more
