The album was released on September 23, 1991 on Epic Records and spawned hits such as the title track "Prisoners in Paradise" and "I'll Cry for You". The album did not chart in the US, which is unusual for a major label releasing two recent (multi) platinum albums. GEORDIE-DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE NAME-1974-THE FIRST DENMARK PRESS-EMI- EMA764. Matrix A-3/B-3. A very rare Danish original hard rock style icon in top condition. Geordie's second album "Don't be fooled by the name" (1974) became both the most interesting and the most successful work of the band: Melody Maker noted their "incredible drive", and NME recognized that "Malcolm writes great songs, and Johnson brilliantly performs them." One of the most interesting numbers on the record was the hard rock version of the standard "The House of the Rising Sun" (later that year, it was released as a single and reached the Top 20). Oddly enough, this was Geordie's last hit on the popularity lists of Britain or Western Europe. Throughout 1975, the band traveled continuously around Britain and Europe, exploiting their unexpected success. The only single released in the same year, "Wizard", went unnoticed. The failure also befell the concept album Save the world, released in early 1976, their rather clumsy attempt to stake out a plot in the territory of art rock. Geordie's star set as quickly as it rose. Deciding that the bandmates were to blame for everything, Johnson left Geordie in the summer of 1976 and signed a personal contract with MCA Records. Recorded with new partners and released in the same year, the album "Brian Johnson and Geordie" included reworking of the band's old hits, but did not return success. Johnson's second and last solo album "Strange man" was released on New Year's Eve, but it was also met with little enthusiasm by listeners. Johnson returned to Newcastle, where, forgetting to think about rock, he worked as a technician at a gas station until someone from AC/DC's entourage (some unknown fan) mentioned him, trying to find a replacement for the deceased Bon Scott. This is a compilation album by the American band Sly and the Family Stone. It was first released on November 21, 1970 by Epic Records. The album includes all the singles from the albums Dance to the Music (1968), Life (1968) and Stand! (1969). Three tracks released as singles in 1969 first appear on the album here: "Hot Fun in the Summertime", "Everybody Is a Star" and "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)". The recordings in this compilation do not always match the versions of the singles; some songs are presented here in their album version and mixes. Mixes sometimes have different editing and vocal and/or instrumentation changes. Greatest Hits was certified five times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), selling five million copies in the United States. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked the album 60th on its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, 61st on its revised 2012 list, and 343rd in its 2020 ranking. ...more

A rare European original of the iconic soundtrack.The Doors: Original Soundtrack Recording is the soundtrack to Oliver Stone's 1991 film Doors. It contains several studio recordings by the Doors, as well as "Heroin" by the Velvet Underground and "Carmina Burana" by Earl Orff. None of Val Kilmer's renditions of the Doors songs featured in the film are included in the soundtrack. The album cover features Jim Morrison performed by Val Kilmer. This is a photo of Kilmer looking directly into the camera lens. His face is black and white, and his hair is the color of a burning flame, the same effect is created on movie posters and promotional materials. ...more
