ABBA-VOULEZ-VOUS-1979-THE FIRST PRESS OF SWEDEN-POLAR - POLS282.A rare Swedish original of the cult album.  Voulez-Vous is the sixth studio album by Swedish pop band ABBA, released in 1979. The release is characterized by a large number of dance-oriented tracks, but it is wrong to define the genre of the album as exclusively "disco"; for example, the song "Does Your Mother Know" has quite definite rock motifs. The work on the album went on for more than a year, and during this time the participants had accumulated more material than what they managed to put on the album. Among the works of that period published much later, it is worth mentioning the composition Dream World, included as a bonus track on the 2010 reissue. In 1981, the album "Voulez-Vous" was released in the USSR by the company "Melody" and became the last numbered album "ABBA", released in the Soviet Union. The album reached number 155 on the Billboard 200. The title of the album belongs to Ringo Starr. Instead of using the album as a chance to showcase his drumming skills, Moon performed lead vocals on all tracks and played drums on only three of them ("Crazy Like a Fox", "The Kids Are Alright" and "Move Over Ms. L"), although he played percussion on "Don't Worry Baby". The album was recorded by Ringo Starr, Harry Nilsson, Joe Walsh from the Eagles, Jim Keltner, Bobby Keys, Klaus Woermann, John Sebastian, Flo and Eddie (Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan from the Turtles), Spencer Davis, Dick Dale, Suzy Quatro's sister Patti Quatro, Patti's bandmates from Fanny Gene Millington and Nikki Barclay and future actor Miguel Ferrer.
