Both singles from the album also reached the top 5 of the UK and US singles charts, and "Silly Love Songs" reached number 1 in the US. The album reached number 2 in the United Kingdom (and became the 4th best-selling album of 1976). The album became McCartney's most successful album in the US charts since his time with The Beatles, spending seven consecutive weeks at the top spot during the summer (overlapping the Beatles' new compilation "Rock 'n' Roll Music", which reached the second line).
