The Division Bell is the fourteenth studio album by the British progressive rock band Pink Floyd. In the UK, the CD was released on March 28, 1994 on the EMI label, in the USA it was released on April 4 of the same year on Columbia Records. The music is mostly written by David Gilmore and Richard Wright, the lyrics are mainly devoted to the topic of communication. The album was recorded in several locations, including Pink Floyd-owned Britannia Row Studios and Astoria. The Division Bell reached the top of the charts in the UK and the United States, but critics reacted coolly to it. The album was released immediately after Pink Floyd's tour of the USA and Europe. In June 1994, the disc was awarded the status of gold, platinum and double platinum in the USA, and in January 1999 it became triple platinum.

The full name of the disc is It's Naz: only part of the inscription "'SNAZ" is depicted on the front side of the record, which many mistakenly indicate as the name of the album; there is an assumption (including due to the lack of a space) that this is a "provocation".The album is a recording of a concert at the Pacific Colisium in Vancouver in May 1981, held as part of a tour of North America. Several more concerts of that tour were recorded on tape, but this one, according to the band, was the best. Since the appearance of the album "Performance" on the shelves of stores, a barrage of accusations from critics immediately fell on the heads of the musicians. Eloy was accused of imitating and repeating themselves! According to critics, there was nothing new in this album, but just a repetition of the previous Time To Turn! But, despite the attacks on the band, the audience received the album quite warmly! Perofrmance is a disc very characteristic of Eloy in the first half of the 80s, Bornemann seems to still not be able to decide what to play for them: either metal, or space rock.
