The album is dedicated to Roger Waters' father who died in World War II. The Final Cut was released in the UK on March 21, 1983, and in the US on April 2, it reached number one in the UK, surpassing The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. It was less successful in America, peaking at number six on the Billboard album charts. With over 1,000,000 units shipped in the United States, the Recording Industry Association of America certified Final Cut Platinum in May 1983. A rare original legend in rock music. After Hours is a studio album by Irish guitarist and singer Gary Moore, released on March 10, 1992. After a busy tour in 1990, Moore recorded the album "After Hours", which, like its predecessor, was sustained in the style of blues-rock, but with a great soul influence and with the addition of a brass section that played in the style of soul. Despite the fact that the album turned out to be very similar to "Still Got The Blues", its success was more modest. After Hours includes both Moore's original songs and well-known blues standards. The Memphis band The Memphis Horns took part in the recording, as well as guest musicians: BB King ("Since I Met You Baby") and Albert Collins ("The Blues Is Alright"). The album reached the 1st place in the charts of Switzerland and Sweden, as well as the 2nd place in Germany and Norway. In general, he received favorable reviews. The album was recorded during Jarre's tour in China in the fall of 1981, which consisted of five concerts in China in Beijing and Shanghai; it was the first performance by a Western pop artist in China after the Cultural Revolution. One of the original compositions of the album – "Arpégiateur" – was used in the soundtrack to the movie "9½ weeks", as well as in several episodes of the mid-1980s American soap opera "Santa Barbara".
