BETTY DAVIS SONGBOOK (2LP)-2015-FIRST PRESS UK/EU-PROVOGUE-PRD7455-1.  A rare original of the cult album.  Full release title: Mahalia Barnes / The Soul Mates featuring Joe Bonamassa "OOH YEA (The Betty Davis Songbook)". The album was recorded over three days at Freight Train Studios in Sydney, Australia, "live", without overdubs. The hard groove and riffs (Bonamassa immediately declares his presence) and the sharp piercing vocals in the title track If I'm In Luck I Might Get Picked Up turn into a love story - soul In The Meantime with a dominant organ and, again, a prolonged solo by Bonamassa. The funky He Was A Big Freak gives Mahalia the opportunity to show all her vocal capabilities. The album is made up of covers of songs by Betty Davis, Miles Davis' wife, recorded in the early 70s. Betty met Miles Davis in the late 60s and introduced him to the world of psychedelic rock, introduced him to Jimi Hendrix. Later she released three solo albums, which influenced the formation of such musicians as Prince, Ice Cube, Erykah Badu, etc. Her music consists of a thundering mix of funk, soul, R/B, served raw with sexual overtones and hooligan fervor. Listen and see what happened here. Mahalia Barnes is the daughter of the famous Australian rock/blues singer Jimmy Barnes, who has absorbed soul, blues and rock and roll music since childhood. Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder have always been her idols. Last year, in the studio, she performed several Betty Davis songs in the presence of renowned producer Kevin Shirley (Joe Bonamassa, Led Zeppelin, Journey). So the idea of a whole disc was born, which was willingly supported by Joe Bonamassa, who took a full-scale part in these recordings. "OOH YEA” is an ambitious work by a young singer, a modern interpretation of Betty Davis' music. The participation in the recording of great musicians (including Mahalia's father) and the described producer guarantee a high level of material. A rare European original. Avonmore is the fifteenth studio album by English singer Bryan Ferry, released on November 17, 2014 by BMG Rights Management. The album was named after the location of Ferry's studio in London, where it was recorded. The album was announced on September 23, 2014 with a preview of the song "Loop De Li". The album was produced by Ferry with longtime collaborator Rhett Davis, who has released several albums for Ferry and Roxy Music. The album also features regular Ferry members such as Fonzie Thornton, Nile Rodgers, Marcus Miller and Johnny Marr (who co-wrote the track "Soldier of Fortune"). The album includes two cover versions, a rendition of Stephen Sondheim's "Send in the Clowns" and a version of "Johnny and Mary", originally written by Robert Palmer. The latter track was created in collaboration with Norwegian DJ/producer Todd Terje and first appeared on Terje's album It's Album Time, which was released earlier in 2014. Avonmore reached number 19 on the UK Albums Chart and number 72 on the US Billboard 200. ...more

Mega rare American original of the cult album with matrices ST-A-691671-A LWP W AT RL / .ST-A-691672-A LWP AT RL SS W PRESSWELL PRESSING mastering was done by Robert Ludwig (RL label) 1st issue in the USA (with the Broadway address of 1841 on the labels), with "hot" mastering by Robert Ludwig on both sides. The first copies, once on sale, began to respond to production, because high basses led to incorrect operation of low-quality cartridges (heads), which forced people to return the album, believing that it was faulty. Then another sound engineer was hired to remake a much less "hot" version of the album, and this is a much more common version.  Led Zeppelin II is the second studio album by the British rock band Led Zeppelin, released on October 22, 1969 on Atlantic Records. The record was recorded in several studios located in the UK and North America, from January to August 1969. The album was produced by Jimmy Page, who had already directed in this role on the band's debut CD. The musicians collaborated with sound engineer Eddie Kramer, who made a great contribution to the unique sound of the longplay. Led Zeppelin II demonstrates the evolution of the band's musical style — the guitar sound based on riffs takes center stage. Many critics consider this album to be the most "heavy" in Led Zeppelin's discography. Led Zeppelin II had good sales and became the band's first album to reach the top of the UK and US charts.
