One of the first rock operas in the USSR, created on the initiative of director Mark Zakharov based on the dramatic cantata by the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda "The Shining and Death of Joaquin Murieta, a Chilean robber killed in California on July 23, 1853." The play was performed on the stage of the Lenkom Theater for 17 seasons and was shown 1050 times.  In 1978, the first record "The Star and the Death of Joaquin Murieta" was released — the main parts were performed by: The Star, Teresa - Jeanne Rozhdestvenskaya; Joaquin Murieta, Death - Gennady Trofimov. "Blaze of Glory" is the first solo album by American musician, Bon Jovi band leader Jon Bon Jovi, released in 1990. It is also considered the soundtrack of the movie "Young Arrows 2". Emilio Estevez asked Bon Jovi for their song "Wanted Dead or Alive" from the album "Slippery When Wet" as the theme for his upcoming sequel film about Billy the Kid, but instead Jon Bon Jovi composed several songs for this film. The recording of the album was attended by such stars as Elton John, Little Richard and Jeff Beck. The title song of this album — "Blaze of Glory" — was nominated in 1991 for the Academy Award in the category "Best Music for a Film". In the same year, the song received a Golden Globe in a similar nomination, and was also nominated for a Grammy Award. ...more

  Concerto for Group and Orchestra (translated from English — "Concert for Group and Orchestra") is a live album by the British rock band Deep Purple, recorded together with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. One of the first attempts to harmoniously combine classical music and rock music in one piece. It was released in the USA in December 1969, and in the UK in January 1970. By the time the second line-up of Deep Purple was formed, there was a confrontation in the band between the art-rock ambitions of John Lord and the hard-rock ambitions of Richie Blackmore. Lord considered the possibility of creating a work that would combine the features of classical and rock music. Deep Purple manager Tony Edwards decides to go all-in and reserves the Albert Hall for September 24, leaving John Lord about six months to write the score. A very rare original of the cult album.  In Search of the Lost Chord is the third studio album by the British band The Moody Blues, released in July 1968 on Deram Records. The Moody Blues' second album, recorded in the classic Hayward—Pinder—Lodge—Thomas Edge line—up, and the band's second work with producer Tony Clark. On this record, the band's signature sound was formed, built around a mellotron. The album was written under the influence of LSD, transcendental meditation and Oriental music, in particular, Hindustani music. The theme of the album's songs touches on such topics as the spiritual development of a person, his desire for search and discovery. Two songs from the record, "Ride My See-Saw" and "Voices in the Sky", were also released as singles. After the release of In Search of the Lost, Chord took quite high positions in the charts. In the UK, he was in the top five albums, and in Germany and the USA in the top thirty.
