The first compilation album by the American rock band the Eagles, released on February 17, 1976 by Asylum Records. The album contains a selection of songs from the first four Eagles albums released between the formation of the Eagles in 1971 and 1975. Their greatest hits (1971-1975) reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, where they remained for five weeks. "One of These Nights" and "The Best of My Love" topped the Billboard Hot 100. The album is notable for being the first album to receive platinum certification by the RIAA, which was introduced in 1976 to recognize albums sold a million copies in the United States. It peaked at number four on the Billboard year-end Albums chart in 1976 and spent a total of 239 weeks on the Billboard 200 as of August 2018. Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) was the best-selling album of the 20th century in the United States, and it remained so for several years until it was surpassed by Michael Jackson's thriller after the artist's death in 2009.. But he regained this title in August 2018. TRAVELING WILBURYS-VOL.3-1990-FIRST PRESS UK/EU GERMANY-WILBURY- 075992632416. The second and last album of the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys (the stellar line-up), recorded and released in 1990. Released in October 1990, the album was less positively received than Vol. 1, but still had a fair success. In the United States, "She's My Baby" (with guest guitarist Gary Moore) and "Inside Out" became radio hits, charting 2nd album rock and 16th album rock respectively. The album peaked at number 14 in the UK and number 11 in the US, where it was certified platinum by the RIAA. ...more

DEEP PURPLE-PERFECT STRANGERS-1984-THE FIRST HOLLAND-POLYDOR 823777-1 PRESS is a rare European original in top condition. Perfect Strangers is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Deep Purple and the first recorded by the reunited "classic line—up" of the band, released in November 1984.  At the beginning of October, Perfect Strangers was mixed, and on November 16 it went on sale, rising to 5th place in Britain and 17th in the USA. Blackmore, known for his clumsiness, joked that the album should finally be called the 1974 album, hinting that the last album recorded in this line-up was released back in 1973 (Who Do We Think We Are). Such zeal did not remain without consequences: the album turned out to be very successful, quickly became platinum, took 5th place in the UK charts and 17th place in the USA. Deep Purple embarked on a world tour, culminating in a performance in front of 80,000 British fans at Knebworth Park in June 1985. ...more

"The Star and the Death of Joaquin Murieta— is a rock opera by Alexey Rybnikov and Pavel Grushko. One of the first rock operas in the USSR, created on the initiative of director Mark Zakharov based on the dramatic cantata by the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda "The Shining and Death of Joaquin Murieta, a Chilean robber killed in California on July 23, 1853." The play was performed on the stage of the Lenkom Theater for 17 seasons and was shown 1050 times.  In 1978, the first record "The Star and the Death of Joaquin Murieta" was released — the main parts were performed by: The Star, Teresa - Jeanne Rozhdestvenskaya; Joaquin Murieta, Death - Gennady Trofimov.
