The album reached number 2 in the UK charts. Absolute spawned some of the band's biggest hits, most notably "BaggyPants", which peaked at number 3 in the UK and spent over four months on the singles chart. "Confusion" took 4th place, and the instrumental "The Return of the Los Palmas 7" rose to 7th place. SAVOY BROWN-LOOKING IN-1970-THE FIRST UK-DECCA-SKL5066 Matrix A-1W/B-1W PRESS. A rare British original of the cult blues-rock band. Looking In is the sixth album by British blues band Savoy Brown. The album featured "Lonesome" Dave Peverett on vocals after Chris Yulden left the band last spring. Leader/guitarist Kim Simmonds will be the only band member to continue working with the band after this album, as all the other band members left to form Foghat next year. It was released by Decca in 1970 (SKL 5066). For release in the USA and Canada, the cassettes were leased to Parrot Records (PAS 71042). The album spent a week in the official UK charts and reached number 50. It performed significantly better in the US, where it spent 19 weeks on the Billboard 200, peaking at number 39, their second-highest album on the US charts. ...more

Future Legends is the debut studio album by Northern Irish progressive rock band Fruupp. Recorded in July 1973 and produced by Denis Taylor, it was released on October 5 in the UK on Dawn Records, a subsidiary of Pye Records for underground and progressive rock music. To promote the album, the band embarked on a two-month tour, which ended on November 29 with a concert at Whitla Hall in Belfast, where they played with the Ulster Youth Orchestra. ...more

OUT OF FOCUS-WAKE UP!-1971-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-KUCKUCK- 2375006. One of the best prog albums in Germany on a prestigious label. Out Of Focus is a German krautrock-rock fusion band formed at the end of 1968 in Munich: Hennes Herring - keyboards (mainly Hammond organ), Remigius Drexler - guitar, Hans-Georg Neumuller - vocals and brass, Klaus Speri - drums and Stefan Visheu - bass. Out of Focus got their name from the track Blue Cheer, but were also influenced by Soft Machine and Xhol Caravan and quickly created a special style mixing rock, jazz and psychedelic overtones. The band's music was known for the socio-political propaganda present in Moran Neumuller's songs. Despite the typical Munich style, they are often compared to the Canterbury fusion of Britain and Scandinavian jazz-rock.  ...more
