A very rare Canadian original of the cult album. Pendulum is the sixth studio album by American band Creedence Clearwater Revival, recorded at Wally Hyder's studio in San Francisco and released by the Fantasy label in December 1970. Pendulum is the last CCR album to feature rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, who left the band shortly after the album's release. The record demonstrates the group's desire to expand its own stylistic framework, a number of his compositions are musically noticeably more complex than the CCR recordings of the 1968-1969 sample. Pegg writes that by the end of June 1971, only 1,395 copies had been sold in the United States.. That same year, Bowie stated, "[he] sold like hot cakes in Beckenham and nowhere else."However, after the 1972 RCA reissue following Ziggy Stardust's commercial breakthrough, the album peaked at No. 24 in the UK, where it remained for 30 weeks, and number 105 on the Best Records charts, for as long as 23 weeks, the 1990 reissue of the album re-entered the UK album charts, peaking at number 66. ...more
