STREISAND, BARBRA - MY NAME BARBRA-1965-FIRST PRESS UK-CBS-SBPG-62534. A rare British original pop diva of the 60s.  This is the first of two studio albums related to Barbra Streisand's Emmy Award-winning debut on CBS-TV. A special edition of "My Name is Barbra", which aired on April 28, 1965 and was choreographed by Joe Layton. The album was certified gold and reached number 2 on the US charts. Streisand's brother Sheldon took the cover photo when she was five years old. By 1966, the album had sold more than a million copies worldwide.

"Walls And Bridges" was recorded during the long absences of Lennon and Yoko Ono. The song "Whatever Gets You thru the Night" was attended by Elton John. He made a bet with Lennon that the song would be able to take first place in the American hit parade (which was previously not possible for any one single solo Lennon).
