A very rare original of the cult blues rocker. Since the release of the previous album A Hard Road, there have been noticeable changes in the composition of the Bluesbreakers: Peter Green left to form his own band (Fleetwood Mac), and Ainsley Dunbar moved to Jeff Beck. John took Keef Hartley to the vacant drummer's place, and it was more difficult to replace the lead guitarist - after all, the new musician would have to bear comparison with both Clapton and Green. John remembered that at one of the concerts, when Eric for some reason did not show up on time, a young boy came who claimed to know the entire repertoire of Bluesbreakers. Mayall didn't have much choice, and he invited the young guitarist to the stage. He demonstrated a good knowledge of the material and excellent technique, and John was impressed with his performance. The first press was released only in Germany. No Jive is the eighteenth studio album by the British band Nazareth. Released in 1991 by Griffin Records. Despite the retirement of permanent guitarist Manny Charlton and the return of Billy Rankin, in the 90s Nazareth returned to classic hard rock, from which they started. From the first chords of "Hire and Fire", you seem to be transported to 1974, to the time of "Rampant". The first 3 tracks were made in this style. Next is the obligatory melodic semi-ballad "Every Time it Rains". Remnants of the sound of the 80s are still left in "Keeping our Love Alive". "The Rowan Tree" is a nice little instrumental on an acoustic guitar, which is like an introduction to" Tell Me That You Love Me " – here the guys remembered that they are from Scotland and played a wonderful folk singing song.
