Closing Time is the debut album by American singer-songwriter Tom Waits, released on March 6, 1973 on the Asylum Records label. Produced and arranged by former Lovin 'Spoonful member Jerry Yester, Closing Time was the first of Waits' seven major releases from Asylum. The album was moderately successful in the United States, and although it did not chart and received little attention from the music press in the UK and other countries too. This explains that the album began to be re-released in Europe in the second half of the 70s when Tom became a super star. The album was certified gold in the UK only in 1979 and has acquired a modern cult significance among rock fans.

Porgy and Bess is an English-language opera by American composer George Gershwin, whose libretto was written by author Dubose Hayward and lyricist Ira Gershwin. It was adapted from the play "Porgy" by Dorothy Hayward and Dubose Hayward, which is itself an adaptation of the 1925 novel of the same name by Dubose Hayward. Porgy and Bess was first performed in Boston on September 30, 1935, before moving to Broadway in New York.[1] It featured a cast of classically trained African-American singers—a bold artistic choice at the time. After an initially unpopular public reception, the 1976 production of the Houston Grand Opera brought her new popularity, and she is now one of the most famous and frequently performed operas. In 1976, Ray Charles and Cleo Lane recorded an album of excerpts for RCA Victor, in which the two of them performed several roles. The album was arranged and conducted by Frank De Vol. It featured Joe Sample's organ, Harry Edison's trumpet, and guitar work by Joe Pass and Lee Ritenour. In the spring of 1969, CUBY and THE BLIZZARDS toured the Netherlands with FLEETWOOD MAC, and in August went on a tour of the UK, where she also managed to perform at the prestigious Marquee Club. But, despite the very successful tour and the increasing popularity of the band, it soon had serious problems with the composition. Van Eyck left for TRACE, and Dick Beckman moved to LIVIN ' BLUES, and in addition to everything, Herman Brood had problems with the law – he was arrested in The Hague for drug possession, and he also had to leave the band. Masks and Gelling completed the line-up with natives of the BLUES DIMENSION group Herman Deinum, Hans Lafaille, Helmig Van Der Vegt. The album “Appleknockers Flophouse”was recorded in this line-up. Musically, the album was noticeably different from the previous ones. BADFINGER-BADFINGER-1973-FIRST PRESS (PROMO) GERMANY-WARNER-WB56023. Mega rare promo original of the cult album. Badfinger is the sixth Studio album by British rock band Badfinger. The album was recorded in the fall of 1973 and released in 1974 on the Warner Bros. label .Records. It was the first of two albums released by the band on the Warner label. When Badfinger were finishing work on their last album for Apple Records, Ass, the band's Manager, Stan Polley, signed them to a three-year, six-album deal with Warner Bros.Records. As a result, shortly after the band and producer Chris Thomas completed recording Ass , they returned to the Studio to make a new album for Warner. Originally scheduled for release on December 28, 1973, the album was delayed due to Ass being released the same month. After the release of Badfinger has received an unfavorable review in Rolling Stone magazine. The UK single released after the album "Love is Easy" failed to chart. The follow-up single released in the US, "I Miss You", also failed. In the United States, the album peaked at number 161 on the BillboardTop 200 LPs & Tape list, making it Badfinger's lowest-charting album there. "Sands" is the ninth "natural" album of the group "Aquarium", consisting mainly of songs from 1975-1986, recorded in 1993. When in the autumn of 1992, "Aquarium" had its own studio at Fontanka, 39, the group had the idea to recreate some songs written by Grebenshchikov in the late 70s-early 80s in their spare time from recording the album "Favorite songs of Ramses IV". Most of the songs of that time were already included in the albums "All Brothers — Sisters" and "Acoustics", but many of them remained unrecorded.
